Stephen (Steve)'s Story
Life
After graduation I attended Trenton State College. Spent some good times there but it wasn't for me. Enlisted in the US Air Force, did a solid 24 years with them. "Retired" and now work for the US Post Office delivering mail in Dayton, Ohio. Have two children of my own, one graduates from Wright State University this spring and the other is in the Coast Guard. Happily remarried to a wonderful woman, Janie, who makes me smile all the time. Have two step children with her and they too make me sooo happy. Military
Trying to redo my bio for all my military friends .... bear with me. After high school I tried the college thing but it didn't work. Enlisted in 1976 and have no regrets .... well one, will get...Expand for more
to that later. Going back in time I'd have to say that I got everything out of the military that I ever asked for. Perhaps it wasn't the right base but it was the right state and or country. I loved England and wouldn't change the assignment if you paid me. We made history there and all us, we know who we are were part of it. It was a good time and a good ride. Saudi, for all it was worth, brought all who went there closer together, that's what it was all about, being there and doing our job. I mentioned a regret earlier, my only regret over the past number of years is/was not meeting my new wife earlier in my life. Janie and I have been married now for just about 3 years ... thank God for her .. Jim Monaghan .... you have to meet her!! Well, better close ...
